It doesn’t necessarily require a walk-in closet to whip out a stylish casual look. All you need is some staple pieces to create multiple and versatile looks. My top five winter essentials have to be: a well-fitted pair of denims, a pullover in a neutral color, oversize cozy scarf, a hat or a beanie, and a timeless watch. If you have these five pieces, you can create unlimited number of looks by either wearing them all together or styling them all differently.

I styled this look for a quick weekend getaway to Rishikesh and it was absolutely perfect for travel as it was warm and comfortable yet very stylish and chic. This is sort of my go-to look during the colder months. It can be worn for a casual meeting with friends, to the mall or for the movies and even grocery shopping.

As far as the trip itself was concerned, it was planned as a quick roadtrip to cleanse my system and flush out all the Delhi smog from my lungs and it worked like a charm. By the end of the trip, I was absolutely refreshed and ready to get back to work. In my opinion, it is very important to have a change of environment to clear your mind and to break the monotony of the daily routine. I also wanted to do bungee jumping as a part of my whole do-what-you-fear plan but unfortunately, fear of heights got to me at the very last moment. But I did take some baby steps towards overcoming the said fear by doing flying fox where you are suspended from a rope which runs over few kms through the valleys of the mountains. It is an absolutely thrilling and chilling experience and I cannot wait to do it again. Hopefully, the next time I visit Rishikesh, I will be able to do the free-fall bungee jumping too (fingers crossed). If you ever plan a getaway to Rishikesh, make sure you include such activities in your trip to take the whole fun and adventure to another crazy level!
